Job Overview
Novo Nordisk GBS India is hiring an Associate Statistical Monitor to support high-quality clinical trial execution through advanced statistical monitoring. This role is ideal for early-career professionals passionate about clinical data quality, compliance, and innovation in clinical research.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain statistical monitoring to detect unusual data patterns, systematic errors, and potential non-compliance or fraud
- Collaborate with trial and project teams to plan and execute monitoring activities
- Analyze clinical trial data and communicate insights to stakeholders and management
- Explore new statistical methods and tools; support training and competency development
- Share knowledge to improve data quality and prevent future issues
- Participate in meetings, training, and continuous process improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Life Sciences or Engineering (B.Sc./M.Sc./MD or equivalent)
- 0–2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/clinical research industry
- Understanding of clinical research, GCP, and data flow
- Basic knowledge of statistical methods and clinical/scientific data reporting
- Exposure to SAS JMP programming and data visualization
- Experience in regulated environments; familiarity with GxP and drug development guidelines
- Strong analytical skills, quality mindset, and ability to work independently
- Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable with cross-cultural awareness
About the Department
The Centralized Monitoring Unit (CMU) in Bengaluru is part of Clinical Drug Development. The team includes medical reviewers, functional programmers, and statistical monitors working collaboratively to ensure patient safety, protocol compliance, and data integrity across clinical trials.
