About the Role
IQVIA, a global leader in clinical research and healthcare analytics, is inviting applications for the position of Safety Associate Trainee in Kolkata. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh life science or healthcare graduates aspiring to start their careers in Pharmacovigilance (Drug Safety).
As a Safety Associate Trainee, you’ll be responsible for reviewing, processing, and reporting safety data in compliance with regulatory standards and company SOPs. You’ll work closely with senior team members to ensure accurate and timely delivery of safety information.
Key Responsibilities
Prioritize and complete assigned training modules on time.
Process safety data as per applicable SOPs, guidelines, and project requirements.
Perform pharmacovigilance tasks such as:
Collecting and tracking incoming Adverse Events (AEs).
Determining the status of incoming events (initial/update).
Data entry, coding of AEs and products, and writing narratives.
Literature review and related activities.
Identify and report quality issues to senior team members.
Attend team meetings and share feedback with the Operations Manager.
Maintain 100% compliance with company processes and quality standards.
Take on additional responsibilities as directed by the Operations team or Manager.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biotechnology, or a related healthcare/ scientific discipline.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based tools.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to follow instructions, manage deadlines, and work independently or in a team.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks across different safety service lines.
Flexible to work in shifts as per project needs.
Additional Information
Office-based role (Kolkata only).
May require occasional travel.
Extensive use of computer and communication tools.
