Job Overview
Roche is inviting applications for the position of IT Business Analyst – RDT Biometrics and Clinical Evidence at its Hyderabad location.
The role is ideal for experienced Business Analysts with strong knowledge of pharmaceutical clinical data management, clinical trial systems, data engineering and analytics technologies.
The selected candidate will work at the intersection of business strategy, data and technology, translating complex business requirements into effective technology solutions while supporting Roche’s clinical development ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis initiatives and independently manage complex workstreams.
- Translate business requirements into process maps, epics, features and user stories.
- Conduct root cause analysis and identify business and system-level challenges.
- Manage stakeholders across IT and business functions globally.
- Drive strategic technology decisions and evaluate solution options.
- Develop long-term roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
- Manage evolving requirements across multiple systems.
- Support clinical data acquisition, integration and processing initiatives.
- Explore AI technologies to improve clinical data acquisition and management.
- Ensure alignment with Agile delivery practices and GxP validation requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Consultant.
- At least 4 years of experience in the Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience with Clinical Data Systems and Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems.
- Knowledge of non-CRF data systems, clinical data warehouses or data lakes.
- Experience managing complex initiatives independently.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Agile product delivery and backlog management.
- Experience delivering GxP-validated systems.
Required Technical Skills
- Clinical Data Management and Clinical Trial Systems.
- Electronic Data Capture (EDC), including Medidata Rave.
- Data Integration and Data Engineering.
- Database management and SQL.
- Python or other scripting languages.
- APIs and Data Analytics Tools.
- Systems Thinking and Business Process Analysis.
- AI Agentic Workflows – willingness to learn and develop practical expertise.

The selected professional will contribute to Roche’s clinical data ecosystem, supporting systems used for clinical data review, safety reporting, operational insights and regulatory submissions.
