Job Description
Cognizant is hiring for the position of SPE – Pharmacovigilance (Senior Process Executive) in Mumbai and Bangalore.
The selected candidates will be responsible for pharmacovigilance case processing, safety data management, medical information review, case narrative preparation, and quality checks while ensuring compliance with global pharmacovigilance guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end pharmacovigilance case processing activities.
- Review source medical information and study documentation.
- Prepare accurate case narratives and safety summaries.
- Perform data entry validation and quality checks.
- Support Individual Case Safety Report (ICSR) processing.
- Assist with literature screening and safety information assessment.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and global pharmacovigilance guidelines.
- Maintain accurate case tracking and documentation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely case processing.
- Support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
- Experience in pharmaceutical research and development processes.
- Practical exposure to pharmacovigilance case processing.
- Knowledge of case intake, coding, data validation, and narrative writing.
- Understanding of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) and submission workflows.
- Basic knowledge of medical literature screening.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment.
Preferred Certification
Certification in Pharmacovigilance or Drug Safety, such as a postgraduate pharmacovigilance program or equivalent industry-recognized training.
