Position Overview:
The Medical Coder (Fresher) will be responsible for converting medical diagnoses, procedures, and treatments into standardized codes for billing and record-keeping purposes. This entry-level position is ideal for freshers who are interested in starting a career in the healthcare industry and gaining expertise in medical coding.
Required Skills:
Basic knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical terminology.
Familiarity with ICD-10- cm, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
Good communication skills for documenting and reviewing patient information.
Ability to work with confidential information and maintain patient privacy.
Preferred Skills:
Understanding of healthcare industry regulations (HIPAA, etc.).
Certification in CPC/CIC/CRC/CCS is an added advantage
Job Description:
Assign medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and treatments based on clinical documentation.
Ensure accuracy in coding and compliance with healthcare industry standards.
Review patient charts and medical records to ensure completeness and correctness of the codes.
Candidates already having work experience in Hospital Field is added advantage.
Qualifications:
Candidates with a Degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Allied Health, or any related field are preferred.
