Job Description
Pfizer is looking for a qualified professional for the position of Manager, Clinical Data Scientist – Clinical Data Sciences in Chennai, India.
The role is part of the Clinical Data and Information Sciences (CDIS) group within the Clinical Development & Operations (CD&O) organization. The selected candidate will represent CDIS at the study team level and oversee clinical data science and data management activities associated with clinical trials.
The position involves ensuring data quality, compliance with applicable regulations and standards, timely delivery of clinical data deliverables, and inspection readiness. The candidate will also provide leadership, direction, and oversight to Data Managers working on assigned clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Clinical Data Sciences activities for one or more clinical trials, including data acquisition standards, Data Management Plans, quality risk indicators, and third-party study data due diligence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional study teams to implement CDIS best practices and improve operational excellence.
- Provide technical guidance on the collection, processing, analysis, and reporting of clinical trial data.
- Ensure the quality and timely delivery of all CDIS deliverables in support of clinical trials.
- Partner with research and business units, external data and service providers, and internal CDIS teams.
- Drive quality and operational efficiency to meet study milestones and project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulations, data standards, Good Clinical Data Management Practices (GCDMPs), and ALCOA principles.
- Ensure study-specific CDIS documentation in the Trial Master File (TMF) is accurate, complete, and filed contemporaneously.
- Work with Asset Leads to establish study strategies, timelines, and appropriate resource allocation.
- Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to CDIS professionals supporting assigned clinical trials.
