Job Description –
Polymorph Scientist
Conduct polymorph screening studies to identify and characterize different solid forms of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
Perform salt and co-crystal screening to optimize the physical and chemical properties of APIs.
Develop crystallization and isolation processes for identified polymorphic forms.
Utilize advanced solid-state characterization techniques such as PXRD, DSC, TGA, FTIR, Raman, and solid-state NMR.
Interpret crystallographic data and collaborate with computational chemistry teams for crystal structure predictions.
Optimize solid forms to enhance stability, solubility, and bioavailability of drug compounds.
Troubleshoot and resolve polymorphism-related issues in drug development.
Work closely with R&D, formulation, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with ICH guidelines for polymorphic forms.
Prepare technical reports, regulatory documentation, and contribute to patent filings related to solid-state discoveries.
