Role: Research Scientist – R&D
Business: Piramal Discovery Solutions
Location: Ahmedabad, India
Department: R&D
Qualification: PhD/Post Doc. (Organic Chemistry /Medicinal Chemistry or relevant field)
Experience:
• 0 – 5 years in CRO industry
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform complex organic transformations and techniques independently.
• Independently propose and select literature procedures for transformations.
• Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks with clear descriptions of reaction schemes, stoichiometry, results, and observations per SOP.
•Scale up reactions from milligrams to gram quantities efficiently and consistently.
• Prepare and update reports, tracking sheets, and productivity sheets regularly as per project requirements.
• Contribute to writing patents, scientific publications, and internal reports based on lab results.
• Conduct activities in strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and waste disposal regulations.
• Train and manage Research Associates (RA) in chemistry techniques, EHS, and QA as required.
• Liaise with clients when necessary, understanding their requirements and ensuring project delivery in line with client expectations.
