We are seeking a high-caliber, people-centric General Manager Operations to lead our strategic efforts in Bharuch, Gujarat. This is a pivotal leadership role designed for an industry veteran who excels at balancing operational excellence with robust business development.
The Role: Strategic Leadership & Operational Excellence
As the General Manager of Operations, you will be the driving force behind our O&M activities across multiple client sites. Your mission is to ensure that Sigachi not only meets but consistently exceeds customer expectations while identifying new avenues for revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight: Lead, plan, and execute O&M activities at both existing and future client sites.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate deep-rooted relationships with clients to ensure long-term partnerships and identify potential business opportunities.
- Site Performance: Monitor performance metrics and provide critical feedback to Site Heads to maintain Sigachi’s high standards of service.
- Strategic Growth: Partner with business leaders to support organizational scaling and implement best practices across the O&M division.
- Culture Building: Foster a positive, high-performance workplace culture that aligns with our certification as a Great Place to Work.
Candidate Profile: Who We Are Looking For
This role requires a blend of technical mastery in chemical processes and the sophisticated soft skills necessary to manage complex client portfolios.
Educational & Professional Background:
- Academic: B.E. in Chemical Engineering or M.Sc. in Chemistry.
- Experience: A minimum of 22+ years of professional experience.
- Sector Expertise: Extensive exposure to Heavy Chemicals, Fertilizers, and Petrochemicals, including a strong grasp of ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) deliverables.
- Geographic Reach: Experience managing operations within India and overseas.
- Leadership Scale: Proven track record as a Cluster Head or similar role handling multiple sites simultaneously.
