Deputy / Associate Manager
Candidates should hold MBBS, MD or Master’s degree in Science. Pharmacy or Ph.D. in relevant area with atleast 2 years of experience in the field of clinical and real world evidence studies. Candidates will be reporting to the Manager.
The role requires building scientific and medical evidence for identified products through clinical studies, conducting activities to disseminate results of such studies to doctors in relevant geographies, creating and executing a scientific publication plan with the help of clinical, review and survey based studies. conceptualising and executing patient engagement strategies beyond therapeutic alternatives and engaging with marketing teams to conceptualise and execute patient-centric activities and advocacy programmes.

Candidates are required to review and develop medical communication strategies and materials in collaboration with marketing teams, to respond to unsolicited medical queries from the field medical representatives, exchange and disseminate scientific, educational, and research related information with internal and external stakeholders (sales and marketing teams, doctors and health care professionals) in the form of trainings, newsletters, publications, etc., engage KOLS through individual meetings and scientific events (e.g. webinars, advisory boards, etc.) to generate insights for supporting marketing and innovation, coordinate customer-facing scientific meetings and symposia for countries and contribute to continuing medical education programmes by identifying speakers, supporting medical literature and presentations also including training of – speakers when required.

The role also requires preparing and executing a monthly/quarterly training plan to ensure scientific / medical training of internal stakeholders on key products (new products, global brands and other identified brands) with the objective of building their capability to engage with prescribers, providing medical insights and support to cross functional teams regulatory, pharmacovigilance, etc., actively contributing to the early identification of therapy gaps and line extensions in existing therapies and for key products respectively, supporting innovation of new products, technologies and solutions and tracking and improving internal metrics related to medical affairs function.
Candidates should possess in-depth scientific knowledge of existing and pipeline molecules in the two or more of the following therapy areas (cardiology, metabolic and endocrinology, pain management, neurology and psychiatry), documented support towards publication of scientific manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals, efficiency in retrieving data from scientific databases like PUBMED & others, ability to identify, manage and develop KOLS for given therapy areas and excellent presentation skills, fluent written and verbal communication in English.
Preference will be given to candidates who have additional experience in Oncology or Dermatology and have worked in one or more emerging market geographies (South Africa, Philippines, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Brazil and Mexico) and the ability to engage and collaborate with people from different cultural background across boundaries.
