About the Team
The Antibody Team at Thermo Fisher Scientific specializes in engineering and developing high-quality antibodies with exceptional performance and specificity. Our core activities include:
- Design, development, and purification of antibodies.
- Conjugation and testing in multiple immunoassay applications.
- Leveraging cutting-edge tools and technologies for advanced product development.
- Generating product-specific data to empower research excellence worldwide.
Role Overview
As a Scientist I, you will be a key contributor to antibody development projects, focusing on single cell sorting, molecular cloning, and flow cytometry workflows. The role demands scientific rigor, innovation, and collaboration in meeting project goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform single cell sorting and related experimental techniques.
- Plan and execute experiments meticulously to achieve program milestones.
- Maintain detailed records in laboratory notebooks and data sheets.
- Stay updated with the latest literature and trends in antibody research.
- Compile, analyze, and present data in both written and oral formats.
- Collaborate in team meetings and contribute to troubleshooting discussions.
- Uphold timelines with attention to detail.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience
- Master’s degree in Life Sciences with 0–4 years of experience, OR
- Ph.D. (submitted within the last year) in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry.
Technical Expertise
- Strong foundation in immunology and flow cytometry workflows.
- Experience in cell sorting preferred.
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques:
- High-throughput cloning, vector construction, PCR, restriction digestion, ligation, transformation.
- Plasmid preps (mini & maxi), sequencing, and data interpretation.
- Familiarity with data analysis software: FlowJo, FCS Express, MS Office, GraphPad Prism.
- Knowledge of antibody development platforms is desirable.
