Job Title: Senior Research Associate
Qualification: M.Tech/M.Sc /MPharma with minimum 2 years of experience or PhD in Life sciences or related field
Experience: 0-4 yrs.

Key Responsibilities:
Experiment design and planning, conducting experiments, analyzing and communicating results
Preparation of clearly defined project plans for each project that will be executed under Him/Her
Should be proactive in troubleshooting problems that might arise during an experiment
Cloning, mutagenesis, competent cells preparation, transformation -chemical and electroporation methods Recombinant enzyme production in E. coli, Yeast and Fungal platforms, Enzyme engineering and knowledge in pathway modification
Documentation of data and inventory maintenance.
Adherence to all environment, health, and safety (EHS) policies & standards at all times in the workplace
Should be able to teach and train his/her team in all the above-mentioned aspects as and when required
Should have good scientific writing skills and should be able to write scientific article that can be communicate to high impact factor journals
Required Skills:
Isolation and purification of nucleic acids from various sources
Design of Oligonucleotides, PCR
Generation of recombinant vector constructs to be used as tools or for production of proteins.
Expression and purification of proteins in various expression strains such as E. coli, Pichia pastoris etc using techniques like ion-exchange chromatography, His-Tag purification, SDS PAGE, and western blotting.
Practical knowledge of various bioanalytical techniques such as Enzyme assay, SDS-PAGE, HPLC etc.
Technical/functional Skills:
Experience with fundamental molecular biology techniques is a must.
Experience with protein expression and purification is required.
Experience with Pichia pastoris and Saccharomyces strains will be a plus.
Experience in fermentation will be a plus.
Experience in assay development will be a plus.
Excellent attention to detail, diligent documentation and efficient communication skills.
