Job Responsibilities
As a Trainee Medical Coder, selected candidates will:

Extract essential information from patient records
-
Verify documentation completeness and accuracy

Assign medical codes including CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9/ICD-10-CM, DRG, APC, and ASA
-
Conduct chart audits and ensure compliance with coding standards
-
Collaborate with physicians for validation of coding accuracy
-
Stay current with regulatory updates in coding systems
-
Handle coding data management and respond to billing inquiries
