Fortrea, a leading global clinical research and life sciences company, is looking for a Safety Science Coordinator I to join its team in Pune. This is a full-time role with exciting opportunities to support clinical safety and pharmacovigilance operations.
Safety Science Coordinator I
Qualifications (Minimum Required):
Non-Degree or 1-2 years of Safety experience* or relevant experience**
Associate degree or 6 months to 1 year of Safety experience* or relevant experience**
BS/BA with 0-6 months to 1 year of Safety experience* or relevant experience**
MS/MA with 0-6 months of Safety experience* or relevant experience**
PharmD with 0-6 months of Safety experience* or relevant experience**
For PharmD, a one-year residency of fellowship can be considered as relevant experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in the processing and submission of Expedited Safety Reports (ESRs) and Periodic Safety Reports (PSRs).
Maintain adverse event tracking systems and ensure accurate data entry.
Write patient narratives, code adverse events using MedDRA, and support listedness assessments for marketed products.
Coordinate with clients, regulatory authorities, ethics committees, and investigators to ensure compliance with reporting timelines.
Support quality review of safety data, reconciliation of databases, and preparation of safety study files.
Provide administrative and mentoring support to peers and assist with internal/external safety-related meetings.
Qualifications Required:
Education: Associate Degree / BS / MS / PharmD in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biological or Medical Sciences (relevant experience can be considered in lieu).
Experience: 0–2 years of safety or related industry experience in clinical research, pharmacovigilance, medical affairs, data management, or regulatory affairs.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Office tools.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English (local language a plus).
